127 film manufacture resumes in mid-April. Sorry for the long delay in production.

Frugal Photographer has been providing unusual and hard-to-find photographic film and supplies to customers worldwide since September 1, 2001. The business is administered from Calgary, Alberta, but all operations (including shipping) are located in Nampa, Idaho. This is a 100% web-based business, with no physical storefront.

We have shipped thousands of rolls of film to customers on every continent (including Antarctica).

When you press the "Add To Cart" button and use the shopping cart:

1. Your personal details are encrypted by SSL encryption.

When you use our "Add To Cart" button, you are taken to an SSL secure server used by Ultracart, a software developer based in Tucker, Georgia, in the United States.

All Internet communication involving your payment is encrypted, transmitted, and stored using SSL encryption. All of this encrypted communication takes place between your browser and an SSL secure server. No payment data is ever sent via non-secure methods such as e-mail.

The familiar "lock" icon on your browser's status bar verifies that you are using a secure, encrypted channel. You can read an authoritative article about SSL encryption here:

2. You will see your total costs before placing your order.
During the process of placing your order, you have the opportunity to see exact shipping charges, and choose the method and cost you want, before you commit to anything.

3. You have a choice of shipping methods: Choose the FedEx service level that best meets your needs, or the US Post Office. If you're in the USA, FedEx is preferable, because it can be reliably tracked. Note that some goods are occasionally shipped from Calgary via Canada Post.

4. You have a choice of payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, or purchase orders (for qualifying entities).

5. Your personal information and privacy are protected.
Once you place an order on the shopping cart, your credit card payment is processed using SSL encryption by BeanStream, of Victoria, B.C.

Payment details are never transmitted via e-mail, but only by encrypted communication between your browser and SSL secure servers.  Frugal Photographer does not store credit card numbers in any form (in fact, we never see it). All information about you and your order is remains private. Click here to see the Frugal Photographer privacy policy.

6. Your order is shipped without delay.
Your order will be accepted and your payment approved and processed in just a few seconds. You receive automated e-mails verifying the shipping details and providing a shipment tracking number.

8. Your order is shipped to you from Nampa, Idaho.
The shopping cart software transmits details of the order (but not payment information) to an experienced shipping warehouse in Nampa, Idaho. We have been associated with this excellent company, Specialty Fulfillment Center, since August, 2005. Orders placed by early afternoon (Mountain time) on business days are usually shipped that day.
